The key to this learning model mobile technology is the fact it takes the learner only 15-20 minutes per week and has built in reinforcement and tracking.
Each module has weekly activities and assignments to assist the participant in transferring the research based principles and answers into the work place. Each module structure is identical and contains the following sections:
Checking In – A pre-test / assessment of the learner’s knowledge and awareness on the content area.
Lessons – Content Delivery - research based answers and ideas
Experiences – An interactive opportunity to practice, drill and rehearse the skills and competencies.
Checking Back – Re-assessment of the knowledge and awareness on the content area. This is compared to checking in.
Action Plans – Actions that the learner commits to applying on the job with a colleague or a customer.
Key benefits of the Layered Learning Model within the Mobile APP include:
• The use of behavioral sciences and adult learning best practices. Our system enhances the learning retention and retrieval and creates change.
• The modules use all adult learning principles: repetition, color, sound, graphics and animations to name a few.
• The learning will bookmark on any device, across all platforms. This means you can switch between your desktop computer and your mobile device without losing your place.
• Anything that happens during your session on the mobile app is tracked, measured and stored in the learning management system automatically.
• The gating systems ensures the learner does not receive too much too fast. It’s the space in between the learning events that allows for discussion and action planning with the manager that makes it different and powerful. The space ensures what they learn they are actually going to use. It’s the cumulative effect of layering in the skill and the benefit is huge. The changes and results are massive over a series of months.
• Requires no more than 15-20 minutes per week from the participant.
• The ability to create consistency and scalability to effectively reach a distributed work force.
• The learning process focuses on application and reinforcement and has built in measurement and tracking, so it becomes treated as a business process and not a program with a beginning and an end.
